In a record of the highest chase in any T20, Eoin Morgan belted out 66 from 33 balls to lead his side to a win against Pakistan in Old Trafford. Pakistan gave England 195 runs to chase in just 4 wickets but England proved that they were up for the challenge as they successfully completed the chase with five balls to spare. In both the innings, batsmen were the ones to speak of as each subsequent one displayed great skill in leading their side to the dominant position.
English openers got their side to a flying start but were scalped by Shadab Khan in consecutive deliveries, whereas, Eoin morgan and DJ Malan held back the Pakistani offense with an admirable partnership. On the Pakistan front both openers Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman performed admirably followed by a stellar innings by Mohammed Hafeez. The series following this win is 1-0 in England’s favor with the first match being abandoned because of rain.
